Starring : Chow Yun-Fat, Sean William Scott, Jaime King, Karel Roden, Victoria Smurfit, Mako
Director : Paul Hunter
Running Time : 101 mins
A nameless Monk (Yun-Fat) has been set the task of protecting a valuable scroll for the past 60 years, and now needs to find someone to take over that role. So, when he is saved from capture by a young man named Kar (Scott), the two join forces to try and stop the scroll from falling into the wrong hands.
I liked this film, it was very silly and had some nice fight scenes and classic deadpan comedy from Yun-Fat. Scott was his usual sarcastic self to full effect, and though perhaps not up to his usual comedy magic he was still entertaining. My only problem was the obvious Nazi motif that seems to be getting overused a lot in recent years, perhaps in a futile hope to relive the classic Indiana Jones years.
