Longfellow Deeds (Sandler) comes from a small town and is amazed to find that he has inherited a small fortune when he is declared the closest relative of a dead multi-millionaire, so he moves to New York city and begins to take over his dead relative’s business and run it the way he wants to.

This was not a very good movie – it was unoriginal and weak with very little in the way of good scripting, but there were some okay slapstick moments which managed to rescue this from being completely rubbish. The cast do their best with what they’re given, but there just wasn’t enough substance in this rushed remake.
