Constantine (2005) 7/10

John Constantine (Reeves) is a supernatural investigator and exorcist who finds himself being asked for help by a sceptical cop named Angela Dodson (Weisz), whose twin sister apparently committed suicide. As they investigate, Dodson is forced to accept the fact that demons may exist, and that they might have been responsible for her sister’s death.

This had a lot of potential, and the possibilites for this movie were endless, but thankfully the writers settled on a simple story which makes the movie that much more impressive. Reeves doesn’t really have much of a presence in the movie, but the plot and effects more than make up for his usual lacklustre approach.
