Super Troopers (2001) 8/10

A group of State Troopers, who spend most of their working day playing practical jokes on the general public, find themselves on the brink of losing their jobs when the state decides it can’t afford to run their department unless they start turning their work ethic around, so when they discover a drug ring running through the area they jump at the chance to investigate.

This started off with a distinct feel that this would just be a series of silly situations held together by a feeble plot, but thankfully after about 20 minutes the plot became apparent. The cast were amiable enough, and though the plotline did feel predictable in places, the overall effect of the movie work brilliantly. A definite must for fans of the Broken Lizard gang, and if you enjoy this check out Beerfest for more of the same.
