Behind Enemy Lines (2001) 7/10

Starring : Owen Wilson, Gene Hackman, Gabriel Macht, Charles Malik Whitfield
Director : John Moore
Running Time : 101 mins

Lieutenant Chris Burnett (Wilson) is shot down over enemy territory and finds himself running for his life as he is attacked from all angles. Things take an even worse turn when the enemy lie to the American government, telling them that Burnett is already dead, prompting them to call off their search.

This was a nice enough movie, with Wilson doing his best not to come across like the comedy actor he naturally is, and he does a fine job. Hackman is a little underused in this venture, and his character isn’t that believable in my opinion, but the supporting cast managed to mask the odd blunder here and there and this made for some nice late night viewing.
