4 : Rise Of The Silver Surfer (2007) 8/10

As Reed Richards (Gruffudd) and Sue Storm (Alba) prepare to tie the knot, a strange cosmic radiation signature is detected by the government, and the Fantastic Four are called in to investigate. What they find is an alien creature named Norrin Rad (Fishburne & Jones), colloquially known as the Silver Surfer, who has a terrible secret… every planet he has visited died 8 days later!

In many ways this was a lot better than the original movie. Obviously, as the origin is out of the way, the writers could concentrate on other aspects of the characters. It was a pretty big step to introduce Galactus, although you never see him, and the Surfer worked quite well, although some of the effects on him were a little bit suspect.
