Starring : Nicole Kidman, Fionnula Flanagan, Christopher Eccleston, Alakina Mann, James Bentley
Director : Alejandro Amenabar
Running Time : 105 mins
Grace Stewart (Kidman) lives peacefully with her two poorly children, who suffer from a rare illness which means they can not be exposed to direct sunlight, but when some new servants come to work for her, strange disturbances start to occur throughout the house, many of them revolving around her children.
Despite it's low certification, this was a genuinely creepy and atmospheric movie, not relying on cheap special affects or gore to scare it's audience. This harkens back to the classic days of horror, where the scares came from making us jump, not from making us sick.
