Jimmy Livingston (Gyllenhaal) has lived his entire life in a hermetically sealed bubble because he was born without an immune system, but when he discovers that his childhood sweetheart Chloe (Shelton) is going to be married, he decides to build a portable bubble and trek across the country to stop the wedding and declare his love for her.
This was a very silly movie, not at all the sort of thing you might expect Gyllenhaal to do nowadays, but it did possess a unique charm which largely carried the movie, as the plot was very minimal and mainly focussed on the joke of a boy living in a bubble rather than anything substantial.
