Chev Chelios (Statham) is a professional assassin who is injected with a deadly poison which will kill him if he can’t keep his heart rate and adrenalin above a certain level, so he goes on a high octane search for the people who betrayed him so that he can kill them before he drops dead, whilst trying to keep his job as an assassin a secret from his girlfriend Eve (Smart)...

This was a fast-paced all action thriller, with lots of humour thrown in for good measure, but it was still only a mediocre movie at best, despite being quite an original and well thought through concept, the main problem being that Statham felt a bit wooden and one dimensional at times in the lead role, but the surprise ending does partly make up for it.
