Starring : Thora Birch, Desmond Harrington, Daniel Brocklebank, Laurence Fox, Keira Knightley, Embeth Davidtz
Director : Nick Hamm
Running Time : 98 mins
Liz Dunn (Birch) is found screaming and terrified, after being missing for almost a month. As police psychologist Philippa Harwood (Davidtz) talks to her about what happened, Liz recounts a tale of how she and some of her school friends became trapped in an old war bunker whilst trying to ditch a school trip to Wales, and how one by one they died as their friend Martyn (Brocklebank) fails to return to let them out.
This was a pretty decent psychological thriller, with some very effective set pieces which were executed quite well by its relatively young cast. Birch isn’t as good here as she is in Ghost World or American Beauty, and Knightley’s plumy accent is very distracting, but in spite of this you have here a reasonably good movie.
