Starring : Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jeff Daniels, Matthew Goode, Isla Fisher, Carla Gugino
Director : Scott Frank
Running Time : 99 mins
Years have passed since Chris Pratt (Levitt) caused a car crash that killed two of his friends and badly wounded another. He himself suffered damage to his frontal lobe which causes him to forget things and means that he can only take lowly paying jobs. When he runs into Gary Spargo (Goode), who claims he went to the same school as Chris, he finds himself being slowly reeled in by Spargo and his friends, eventually causing him to join in their plan to rob the bank he cleans at.
This was a little slow to begin with, but once it got going it really lured you in to becoming involved with the characters and seeing things from their point of view. Although Levitt is usually extremely captivating in his movies, it’s Daniels who helps make this work by giving some light entertainment to an otherwise humourless movie.
