JB (Black) runs away from his religious home to Hollywood in the hope of becoming a rock legend. There he meets KG (Gass) and the form a band, calling themselves Tenacious D, but discover that rock and roll God hood isn’t as easy as it looks. Upon discovering a legend concerning a mystical guitar pick forged from one of Satan’s teeth, they head off in search of the magical item

When this started, I actually thought it was going to be a musical! The first ten minutes is non-stop singing, which I thought might get dry pretty quick, but once the story got going this was quite an enjoyable movie, slightly reminiscent of Wayne’s World in many ways.
