Shark Tale (2004) 7/10

Oscar (Smith) finds himself dubbed the “sharkslayer” when he is found next to the body of a dead shark, who turns out to be the son of a mob boss, Don Lino (De Niro). Oscar plays up the role to his adoring public, until he realises how much danger he could be putting himself and his loved ones in.

Not a bad cartoon from Dreamworks, but this is unfortunately saddled with the problem of being compared with Shrek because of its production company. The characters aren’t that memorable, and overall this felt like it was just riding along on both the popularity of Shrek and the recent bout of under-the-sea movies.
