A group of criminals get offered £3,000 each to take a job with a dodgy Russian circus by their old friend Roy Arnie (Harrelson), who plans to use a circus elephant named Jimmy, who’s been continually mistreated and kept dependent on drugs for the past fifteen years, to smuggle a million pounds worth of heroin out of the country. Unfortunately an animal rights group have set their sights on the self same circus which is performing in Norway, and they plan to set Jimmy free.
This is the first computer animated movie to come out of Norway, but it still looks very good. There’s a lot going on in this movie, and all the storylines merge in a very satisfying way. Clearly this is not designed for kids, which is probably it’s one major drawback, but it’s still very entertaining for adults.
