Katherine Winter (Swank) has the unenviable job of investigating supposed miracles and, more often than not, disproving them, but when she is called upon to investigate the small town of Haven where the river has turned to blood, even she has to admit that something supernatural may be afoot. As things become increasingly more apocalyptic, Winter finds herself under attack from plagues of locusts, rains of frogs, and half-crazed cattle attacks!

This was a very enjoyable movie which, unlike many horror films of recent years, actually felt quite original. Some have compared it to Signs, but I don’t see the resemblance other than it’s set in a small town and Swank’s family are dead. Definitely worth checking out if you get the time.
