Prime (2005) 6/10

Recently divorced Rafi Gardet (Thurman) begins dating a young man named David Bloomberg (Greenburg), only to dicover that not only is her 14 years her junior, but that his mother is her therapist, Doctor Metzger (Streep). When Metzger discovers this fact, she soon starts going back on everything she’s advised Rafi to do about the relationship thus far.

Although this was a little bitter sweet, and quite slow going, this was still a nice little movie with quite a surprising non-Hollywood ending. Thurman isn’t particularly impressive in this, and relative new-comer Greenburg is flat and a little dull, but Streep keeps the movie going with her scheming character.
