Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (2006) 6/10

This is the sort of film that will probably only appeal to fans of Will Ferrell as he reverts back to form and plays another of his Saturday Night Live characters. This time Ferrell plays Ricky Bobby, a popular and successful race car driver who suffers an accident which makes him scared of driving. Following the accident he loses his wife and his house and is forced to move back in with his mother. His estranged father (Cole) shows up and tries to help him lose his fear, with some silly results.

Not Will Ferrell at his best (that would probably be when he plays bit parts in films like "Dick" or "Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back") and a little on the long side. Some nice performances from the additional cast though, especially Cohen and Cole.
