Mean Girls (2004) 8/10

Starring : Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Lizzy Caplan, Tina Fey, Tim Meadows, Amanda Seyfried, Lacey Chabert
Director : Mark Waters
Running Time : 96 mins

Cady Heron (Lohan), who up until recently has been brought up in Africa, is forced to start attending an American High School, a much different experience to what she's used to. There she meets Janis (Caplan), a girl who's considered part of the "out" crowd, who convinces her to infiltrate the "in" crowd in order to ruin the life of popular girl Regina George (McAdams).

Despite popular belief, I've thus far only ever seen two Lindsay Lohan films; Freaky Friday and this, and I actually thought this was pretty damn good. There's a lot of dark humour throughout, which some might find reminiscent of Heathers, but this is less violent and tries to go for the idea of redemption rather than death for all.

You'll like this if you liked : Heathers
