Fantastic Four (2005) 7/10

This tells the story of four scientists who wind up with amazing abilities following an accident during a cosmic ray experiment. The accident causes something of a rift between Sue Storm (Alba) and her fiancee Victor Von Doom (McMahon), who has also been affected by the accident in a very different way to the others!

Despite some initially dubious casting, this actually turned out to be a pretty good super-hero movie! I always thought Chiklis was an excellent choice for the Thing, and McMahon always makes a great villain! The main problem with this story was the origin of the Fantastic Four, which was changed for the movie. I thought it worked quite well, but a lot of die-hard fans went ballistic when they saw the end result.
