Starring : Ryan Reynolds, Kristin Booth, Joris Jarsky, David Suchet
Director : William Phillips
Running Time : 94 mins
Three geeks who get together to pull off theoretical heists – that is, they try to beat security systems without actually breaking in and stealing stuff – find themselves in a whole heap of trouble when local mobster Leo Gillette (Suchet) finds their plans and blackmails them into pulling off a multimillion dollar heist for him or go to jail!
This is a surprisingly underrated and highly enjoyable little comedy thriller. Reynolds isn’t his usual over-the-top self, and the supporting cast are equally perfect with their levels of humour and seriousness. It’s a shame this didn’t get better press when it was originally released because I’m sure it could have done a lot better at the box office than it did.
