Tornado chaser Jo Harding (Hunt) and her weatherman husband Bill (Paxton) are in the middle of a complicated separation, with Bill wanting a quick divorce so he can get married to his girlfriend Melissa (Gertz), but when a series of terrible storms start winding their way across Oklahoma they all find themselves involved in trying to keep up with the tornado and intercept it so they can attempt to create an improved tornado warning system.

Surprisingly this is one of the fsvourite movies of my girlfriend. She loves disaster movies! It may sound odd, but this is actually a fun movie, which doesn't so much focus on the destruction of the storm but more on the relationships of the brave / stupid people trying to keep up with it. Well worth watching if you're a disaster movie buff.
