Director : Lexi Alexander
Running Time : 103 mins
Frank Castle (Stevenson) has one mission in life : to rid the world of criminals who have managed to cheat the system and remain unpunished. In his guise as The Punisher, he sets out on a desperate killing spree, secretly receiving support from some members of the police force. But, when he kills an undercover FBI agent he believes to be a member of a mafia-style operation, FBI agent Paul Budiansky (Salmon) joins forces with the so-called Punisher task force - one cop named Martin Soap (Mihok) - to bring down the vigilante once and for all. To complicate matters, one of the surviving gangsters, now calling himself Jigsaw (West) has targeted Castle for destroying his face.
Filled with over the top violence, this is just what fans of The Punisher comic books will want to see. The action moves quickly and the death toll is high and, even though Stevenson's been given a difficult character to work with, he still manages to conveys the Punisher's mindful violence in a very credible manner.
