When Coraline (Fanning) finds a mysterious doorway in her house, she is transported to a parallel world where she meets strange versions of her parents - the only difference from the real thing being they have buttons for eyes - but the truth behind this strange world is far more sinister than it first appears and Coraline finds herself pitted against an evil creature that wants to keep her there forever!
This is such a refreshing movie with some great originality and sparkling characterisation. The voices are all spot on, and the plot itself will engage adults and children alike. Fans of the animation found in The Nightmare Before Christmas will certainly be thrilled by the visual effects that surround this movie, and the story itself will almost certainly become something of a modern fairytale.
