Starring : Ben Kingsley, Josh Peck, Famke Janssen, Olivia Thirlby
Director : Jonathan Levine
Running Time : 108 mins
It's 1994, and Luke Shapiro (Peck) has decided to spend his last summer before college selling drugs to try and help out his parents who are gradually losing their home. He slowly develops a friendship with one of his regulars, Dr Jeffrey Squires (Kingsley), who in return gives him free therapy, but when Luke develops a close friendship with Squires step-daughter Stephanie (Thirlby), the doctor tries to warn him off her.
I really enjoyed this movie - none of the characters were stereotyped, and the drug dealing lead played admirably by Peck was incredibly likeable. The plot was well formed and made for intriguing viewing, and Kingsley is very good as the pothead psychiatrist. This film comes highly recommended.
