Classic Friday : Child's Play 3 (1991) 7/10

Andy Barclay (Whalin), now 16 and attending a military school, is appalled to learn that the line of Good Guy dolls are being relaunched, even after the negative publicity of the Chucky (Dourif) killings. Unfortunately, the original Chucky doll is mixed in with plastic and the evil doll is reborn, once again looking for a new body to inhabit.

This is the infamous video nasty that was banned for a number of years in the mid nineties. Finally re-released a few years back (albeit with a new 18 certificate), this is one of the weaker installments in the series. Chucky is still an interesting characters, but now that they've got rid of the young Andy, replacing him with a teenage Justin Whalin, the charm just seems to have been lost.
