Robert Fishman (Wilson) used to be the drummer in a band called Vesuvius, but twenty years ago they kicked him out, and subsequently became one of the biggest rock bands around. Years later, and Robert finds a second chance to make it big in the rock world, this time by joining his nephew Matt (Gad) as the drummer in his band A.D.D. and making it his goal to get them any gig he can.

This started off slow, but it soon picked up the pace once Wilson joined up with his teenaged band. The jokes were obvious and sometimes ill conceived, but this wasn't the sort of over the top nonsense some comedies of this ilk can be, and at times it was quite well observed and witty.
