Ethan Hunt (Cruise) launches back into action with another impossible mission. This time he is sent to Australia where he must track down and stop international terrorist Sean Amborse (Scott) who is holding the entire world to ransom with the threat of a genetically modified virus called Chimera that can rapidly kill anyone that it infects.

This was something of a weak sequel, but to give it it's dues this in no way set out to simply do the same movie again. After a slow start, John Woo soon pumps up the action in this epic action spy thriller, but sadly it came out at a very similar time to Charlie's Angels and worryingly felt quite similar in many ways.
