Things We Lost In The Fire (2007) 5/10

When her husband Brian (Duchovny) is murdered when trying to prevent a stranger from being attacked, Audrey Burke (Berry) decides to try and get some closure by inviting Brian's junkie best friend, Jerry Sunborne (Del Toro), to live with her and her children, and in return Jerry tries to kick his habit once and for all.

Personally I didn’t enjoy this movie. The acting alternated between being completely stinted to downright hammy, and the progression of the characters made no sense at all. Why Berry would invite Del Toro into her home when she harboured so much hate for him really confused me – if any can enlighten me, please do – and the ending really just made the film seem totally pointless.
