Starring : Cameron Diaz, Toni Collette, Shirley MacLaine, Mark Feuerstein, Anson Mount
Director : Curtis Hanson
Running Time : 125 mins
When Maggie (Diaz) discovers some hidden birthday and Christmas cards from her grandmother (MacLaine) who she thought was dead, she journeys in search of her to find out why she hasn’t been in touch. Meanwhile her sister Rose (Collette) quits her job as an attorney following a tricky breakup and becomes a dog walker instead.
I really enjoyed this movie, despite its being the ultimate chick flick. Both Diaz and Collette are likeable as Maggie and Rose, and the changes in their characters throughout the course of the movie bring them more into line with each other, making for a nice ending that brings the two back together.
