The Campbell family move to a new house to be closer to the hospital for their son Matt (Gallner) who is suffering from cancer, but soon they start to witness strange goings on in the house and, upon investigation, they discover that the house used to be the home of a funeral parlour owner who dabbled in the occult.
This is an effective horror that doesn't rely too heavily on scares to make it work. Its claims to be based on true events may sound a little far fetched, and I'm sure the makers have embellished the truth a tad, but there is a nice mystery here that unfolds as the movie progresses, although a lot of the mystery is spoiled by being blatantly spelled out to the audience.
