Starring : Julia Stiles, Liev Schreiber, David Thewlis, Pete Postlethwaite, Mia Farrow, Seamus Davey-Fitzpatrick
Director : John Moore
Running Time : 106 mins
Diplomat Robert Thorn (Schreiber) is promoted to the position of American Ambassador and is sent to London with his wife Katherine (Stiles) and their son Damien (Davey-Fitzpatrick), but when strange deaths start to happen all around them, Thorn starts to suspect that their son - who they took on when they lost their own child as Damien’s mother had died in child birth - may actually be the devil incarnate.
Basically this movie reads word for word and scene for scene like the original, the only difference being that I don’t remember the weird demon guy in the church near the end. The performances themselves were flat. Mainly because it seems the were constrained to act like the actors in the original, but the plot remains good and solid which is the only reason the maintained such a high score.
