Starring : Gene Hackman, Ray Romano, Marcia Gay Harden, Maura Tierney, Christine Baranski, Rip Torn
Director : Donald Petrie
Running Time : 106 mins
Former President Mnore Cole (Hackman) is forced to move to the town of Mooseport when his wife Charlotte (Baranski) files for divorce and takes all of his other properties, but when the mayor of Mooseport dies, Monroe decides to run for the position, but is pitted against popular local plumber Handy Harrison (Romano).
This isn't that bad a movie, but it is sad to see Hackman amongst all these television actors, especially as this seems to have been his final movie role. Romano is likeable but slightly too nice in this unsuccessful attempt to transfer his basic character from Everybody Loves Raymond onto the silver screen, with most of the best acting coming from Harden and Baranski in their limited roles.
