Starring : Sienna Miller, Guy Pearce, Hayden Christensen, Jimmy Fallon, Mena Suvari, Shawn Hatosy
Director : George Hickenlooper
Running Time : 96 mins
American heiress turned model Edie Sedgwick (Miller) travels to New York to find fame, but instead finds notoriety by working with modern artist Andy Warhol (Pearce). Rather than becoming a household name for her acting talent, she becomes known as the face of Warhol's Factory and soon slips into a life of drugs and depression caused by Warhol's refusal to pay her any money for her work.
This is a well directed, well formed biopic that allows us to sympathise with a character that could have so easily been turned into a caricature and a figure of ridicule. Miller plays Edie perfectly, managing to progress her character through the movie from beinning to end, with Pearce playing a very whimsical version of Andy Warhol that is bot effective and disturbing. Sadly Hayden Christensen's turn as Billy Quinn (a pseudo version of Bob Dylan) is really poorly conceived.
