Aspiring song writer Violet Sanford (Perabo) moves from New Jersey to New York to pursue her dream of becoming a singer song writer, and to make ends meet she takes a day job as a bar maid at an up and coming nightclub called Coyote Ugly, a move she makes in a vain attempt to rid herself of her stage fright.

This movie was okay, but a little over rated. My own pet peeve was that the writers seemed to think that the first appearance of The Punisher was worth enough to get Violet the money she needed, but if I ignore that point then this is a reasonably mindless chick flick which passes the time.
