In Bruges (2008) 8/10

Following a hit gone wrong, two hit men, Ray (Farrell) and Ken (Gleeson), are sent to Bruges to take a break and await further instructions from their boss, Harry Waters (Fiennes), but when Ken is then instructed that he’s to kill Ray, her starts to question his vocation in life.

This movie was slow going, but it was also quite funny. Some of the jokes seemed obvious choices at first, but once the movie was over you realise that any so-called obvious jokes were necessary for the story line to work. Some fine comic timing from Gleeson and Farrell, and it’s nice to see Fiennes still has the time to branch out now and then.
