After a five year relationship with her boyfriend Jeremy (Scott), Anna Brady (Adams) decides to travel to Ireland to surprise him by proposing on February 29th, Leap Day, but her plans don’t go so smoothly when her flight is redirected and she has to rely on the help of unconventional Irish cabbie Declan (Goode) to get her to her destination on time.
In spite of being one of the most predictable romantic comedies I’ve ever seen, this was still a likeable romp. The chemistry is there between the two leads, but the speed at which their relationship blooms is a little too unrealistic. Not to spoil the plot, but they are pretty much at each other’s throats until the closing scenes of the film!
