When Maggie Peyton (Lohan) gets a car as a present from her father (Keaton), she gets more than she bargained for when she choses Herbie, a car with a mind of its own, but trouble looms when she starts a secret career as a race car driver, and she loses Herbie in a bet to the manipulative Trip Murphy (Dillon).

I actually didn’t mind this. I was expecting it to be a lame remake but instead it was a nice new addition to the Love Bug series. Lohan was a little flat in the lead role, but the basic storyline made up for it, and Dillon made a brilliant child’s villain.
