Small town sheriff Ray Owens (Schwarzenegger) leads a peaceful life in his border town of Sommerton Junction, following his partial retirement from the LAPD, but when he is given news that escaped drug kingpin Gabriel Cortez (Santoro) is heading for his town in the hopes of crossing the border into Mexico, so Owens is forced to bring together his inexperienced police force in order to stop the criminal.

It’s a little disappointing that Arnie chose this movie to make his action lead comeback. The plot is pretty basic and the jokes are a little lame, plus Arnie is looking really old. Fans of his movies might be disappointed that there aren’t really any action scenes with him until close to the end, but they’ll love seeing him on screen again even if he’s looking a little ragged.
