Starring : Seann William Scott, Jay Baruchel, Alison Pill
Director : Michael Dowse
Running Time : 92 mins
Bouncer Doug Glatt (Scott), who is something of an outcast from his highly intelligent family, is offered a job playing hockey for a losing hockey team due to his uncanny ability to be incredibly violent and for having the toughest skull around, and in spite of his inability to actually skate or play hockey.
Seann William Scott is a likeable idiot in this comedy, where he never attacks anyone unless they provoke him first. Even though the story doesn’t feel that original, it is handled with originality and manages to keep itself entertaining by providing its audience with likeable characters and a definite direction for the lead actor. Worth watching, but only if you can stand the violence.
