Prince Fabious (Franco) is horrified when his fiancée Belladonna (Deschanel) is kidnapped by the evil wizard Leezar (Theroux), who plans to fulfil an ancient prophesy that will result in the destruction of their kingdom. So Fabious heads out on a rescue mission to save the princess, with his lazy brother Thadeous (McBride) forced to help by their father the king (Dance).
Despite having read some pretty terrible reviews, this actually wasn’t so bad. The characters were ridiculously over the top, but what do you expect in a gross-out comedy. The plot itself was ridiculous – a prophesy where a virgin gives birth to a killer serpent? – and the nudity was gratuitous, but overall this was a reasonable comedy that you could happily watch on a Sunday night.
