Casey Newton (Robertson) is a young girl who discovers a pin that transports her to a magical world called Tomorrowland. She meets a girl called Athena (Cassidy) and a man named Frank Walker (Clooney) who tells her she has been recruited into a group called Plus Ultra who seek out dreamers and inventors to shape the world’s future.
This was surprisingly fun, though not that surprising when you realise it was directed by Brad Bird who has made some of the best animated movies of the past decade or so. The story is fun and harks back to a time when children’s films were so much simpler and more innocent, though it could be argued that it’s just a two hour advertisement for Disney Land.
