When super-villain Megamind (Ferrell) finally defeats his arch nemesis, super-hero Metro Man (Pitt), he realises that he has no other purpose in life. So he makes the decision to create a new hero to battle against, Titan (Hill), but Megamind ends up having to play hero when Titan decides to destroy the world.
There seems to have been a spate of anti-hero animated movies recently, especially considering movies like Megamind and Despicable Me. I reckon that Shrek is responsible, and that’s no bad thing. Everyone knows that villains are more interesting than heroes, and by creating villains that turn good is a great way of teaching kids that everyone deserves a second chance. This is a very funny movie, even with Will Ferrell in the lead role, and the supporting cast make this a joy for both young and old.
