Starring : Jerry Lewis, Alex Gerry
Director : Jerry Lewis
Running Time : 72 mins
Stanley (Lewis) works as a bellboy at the luxurious Fountainbleau Hotel in Miami Beach, where he spends his days quietly getting into trouble and getting everything wrong as he attempts to carry out his increasingly problematic duties.
This silly yet simple movie arose quite early on in Jerry Lewis’s solo career. Here he harps back to the silent era by producing a movie with little or no talking – something that would have no doubt improved the international success of the flick – and enough slapstick to keep the most hardened comedy fan satisfied. Lewis fans will love his visual slapstick comedy routines while those who aren’t too familiar with his work will find this a very accessible comedy masterpiece.
