Starring : Mia Wasikowska, Nicole Kidman, David Alford, Matthew Goode
Director : Chan-wook Park
Running Time : 100 mins
Following the unexpected and sudden death of her father, India Stoker (Wasikowska) finds her life changing when her Uncle Charlie (Goode) arrives to live with her and her mother Evie (Kidman). She starts to suspect that Charlie has ulterior motives to his decision to move in with them as he starts a relationship with Evie, but finds herself more attracted by him than repelled.
This incredibly weird effort from first time writer Wentworth Miller – most famous for his lead acting role in Prison Break – leaves you guessing right up until the end, and even past that point. My main issue with this is the ending where, in my opinion, India takes on the role of Charlie and starts killing, but others have claimed they think Charlie never existed and that India was the killer all along. I prefer my theory, but everyone is entitled to the own conclusions.
