When Kale Brecht (LeBeouf) is put under house arrest for hitting his Spanish teacher, and his mum Julie (Moss) bans him from watching TV or playing on his Xbox, Kale takes up spying on his neighbours, particularly his attractive new neighbour Ashley (Roemer). But when he sees what he thinks is a murder taking place, Kale becomes terrified that his neighbour Robert Turner (Morse) is going to try to kill him too!

This was a very well made, suspense filled thriller. The writers and director actually allow us to get to know the main characters before the actual murders start to happen which was refreshing as with many modern horror / thrillers we’re just thrown into the action with minor information on the one-dimensional cast.
